Licenses Explained Simply
Below is a simplified overview of the license terms for all vocals sold on this site.
By purchasing or using any vocal, you agree to the applicable license terms below.
Exclusive Toplines
This license applies to all Exclusive Topline purchases made on this site.
By purchasing, downloading, or using an exclusive topline, you agree to the following terms:
You may:
- use the purchased topline in one (1) original song or track project only
- release that song commercially or non-commercially
- monetise the final release
- perform the song live
- edit, chop, process, pitch, time-stretch, or otherwise creatively manipulate the vocals as part of your production
- create alternate versions of the same song, including radio edits, extended mixes, VIPs, instrumental versions, official remixes and alternate mixes
Exclusivity:
- once purchased, the topline is removed from sale and will no longer be licensed to any other buyer
- the buyer receives the exclusive right to use that topline under the terms of this license
Royalties:
- you keep 100% of master rights and master income
- publishing and songwriting rights are split 50/50 between you and Carolina Padro
- if the song is registered with a PRO, publisher, or rights collection society, Carolina Padro’s share must be registered accurately
Credit:
- credit is not required
- if you wish to publicly credit Carolina Padro in any way, please contact first for approval
2-year release window:
- exclusive toplines are removed from sale and reserved for the buyer
- if the resulting song is commercially released within 2 years of purchase, the exclusive license remains valid permanently
- if the song is not commercially released within 2 years of purchase, the exclusive license may expire and the rights to the topline may revert back to Carolina Padro, unless otherwise agreed in writing
- the buyer agrees to provide a public release link once the song has been released
- extensions may be granted at Carolina Padro’s discretion if agreed in writing before the 2-year deadline
You may not:
- resell, sublicense, distribute, gift, transfer, or share the raw vocal files or stems in any form
- upload or distribute the topline as a standalone product
- include the vocals in any sample pack, loop kit, vocal pack, template, preset pack, or similar product, whether free or paid
- use the topline to create multiple unrelated songs or separate musical works
- use the vocals to train, clone, replicate, imitate, or synthesise Carolina Padro’s voice using AI or machine learning tools
- use the vocals in any defamatory, hateful, unlawful, or abusive context
Additional notes:
- this license is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser
- all rights not expressly granted remain with Carolina Padro
- due to the digital nature of this product, all sales are final once files have been delivered, except where required by law
Non-Exclusive, Limited Edition & Free Toplines
These license terms apply to all Non-Exclusive, Limited Edition, and Free Vocal products available on this site.
By purchasing, downloading, or using any of these vocal products, you agree to the following terms:
You may:
- use the vocals in your original musical works for commercial or non-commercial purposes
- release songs on streaming platforms and digital stores such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Beatport and similar services
- monetise your releases
- perform the resulting song(s) live
- edit, chop, process, pitch, time-stretch, or otherwise creatively manipulate the vocals as part of your production
- create edits, remixes, alternate versions or derivative versions using the purchased vocals
Royalties:
- you keep 100% of master rights and master income
- you keep 100% of publishing and songwriting income
- no royalty payments or publishing splits are owed to Carolina Padro under these license types
Credit:
- credit is not required
- if you wish to publicly credit Carolina Padro in any way, please contact first for approval
You may not:
- resell, sublicense, distribute, gift, transfer, or share the raw vocal files or stems in any form
- upload or distribute the vocals as a standalone product

Custom Vocals
Custom Vocals are bespoke vocals written and/or recorded specifically for your track and creative brief.
Upon delivery and full payment:
- You are granted 100% of the master rights
- You fully own the final recorded version of the song
- You will receive all revenue generated from the master recording, including streams, downloads and sales
Publishing (songwriting) split:
If you provide the melody and lyrics, the vocal is considered royalty-free from a songwriting perspective, and no publishing split applies.
If I write the melody and/or lyrics, I retain a share of the publishing (songwriting rights) to reflect that creative contribution.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this is typically split as follows:
- 25% for melody
- 25% for lyrics
Additional terms:
All other terms from the Exclusive Vocal License also apply to Custom Vocals, including:
- use in one song/project only
- the 2-year release window
- restrictions on resale, redistribution or reuse
- crediting terms as outlined elsewhere on this page
AI Vocal Finishing
AI Vocal Finishing is a bespoke service where I re-record and refine your AI-generated vocal reference into a polished human performance.
What you receive:
- 100% of the master rights
- A final vocal recording for one song/project only
- Vocals delivered anonymously, unless agreed otherwise
Publishing / songwriting:
- If I’m only re-performing your existing idea, no publishing split applies
- If I contribute to the melody and/or lyrics, a split may apply and will always be agreed in advance
Your responsibility:
- You have the right to use the AI vocal and all reference materials provided
- The reference is not intended to imitate or clone another identifiable singer
- The materials provided do not infringe third-party rights
You may not:
- Train AI or machine learning models
- Create voice clones or synthetic replicas
- Imitate Carolina Padro’s voice or identity
- Resell, redistribute, or include vocals in sample packs, loop kits, or templates

General
Can I use these vocals in commercial songs?
Yes — all paid licenses on this site allow commercial use.
You may release songs using the vocals on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Beatport and similar services.
You may also monetise your release and perform it live, as long as your use remains within the terms of the applicable license.
Do I keep 100% of royalties?
It depends on the license type purchased.
Non-Exclusive, Limited Edition and Free Vocals:
You keep 100% of master rights and 100% of publishing / songwriting income.
Exclusive Toplines:
You keep 100% of master rights and master income, while publishing and songwriting are split 50/50 between you and Carolina Padro.
Custom Vocal Service:
You keep 100% of master rights.
If I write melodies and/or lyrics, publishing is split 50/50 (25% melody, 25% lyrics).
AI Vocal Finishing Service:
You keep 100% of master rights.
If no writing changes are made, no publishing split applies.
If I contribute to melody and/or lyrics, publishing splits may apply and are agreed in advance.
Do I need to credit Carolina Padro?
No — public credit is not required.
If you would like to publicly credit Carolina Padro in any way, please get in touch first for approval.
Can I edit the vocals?
Yes — you may creatively edit the vocals as part of your production.
This includes chopping, pitching, time-stretching, processing, layering, or otherwise manipulating the vocals to fit your track, as long as the use stays within the scope of the license purchased.
What’s the difference between exclusive and non-exclusive licenses?
Exclusive toplines are sold to one producer only and removed from sale after purchase.
Non-Exclusive and Limited Edition vocals may be licensed to more than one producer, depending on the product type.
Exclusive toplines also include a 50/50 publishing split and a 2-year release window.
Will I receive dry and wet stems?
Every vocal on this site is available in two versions:
- Dry Stems
- Dry + Wet Stems
You can choose whichever option best suits your workflow and production needs!
Dry + Wet Stems include both the clean raw vocals and the fully processed versions used in the preview.
There is a price difference between the two options, which will be shown on each product page.
Exclusive Toplines
Do I own the master?
Yes — with an Exclusive Topline, you keep 100% of the master rights and master income for the final released song.
This means Carolina Padro does not claim any share of the income generated by the final released master recording.
What about publishing?
Publishing and songwriting rights for Exclusive Toplines are split 50/50 between you and Carolina Padro.
This means:
- you own 50% of the songwriting / publishing
- Carolina Padro owns 50% of the songwriting / publishing
If the song is registered with a PRO, publisher, or rights collection society, Carolina’s share must be registered accurately.
Can I use the topline in more than one song?
No — Exclusive Toplines may only be used in one original song or track project.
You may create alternate versions of that same song, such as:
- radio edits
- extended mixes
- VIPs
- instrumental versions
- official remixes
- alternate mixes
However, you may not use the topline to create multiple unrelated songs or separate musical works.
What is the 2-year release window?
Because an Exclusive Topline is removed from sale and reserved for one buyer only, it includes a 2-year release window.
If the resulting song is commercially released within 2 years of purchase, the exclusive license remains valid permanently.
What happens if I don’t release the track?
If the resulting song is not commercially released within 2 years of purchase, the exclusive license may expire and the rights to the topline may revert back to Carolina Padro, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If you need more time, an extension may be granted if agreed in writing before the 2-year deadline.
Once the song is released, the buyer agrees to provide a public release link.
Restrictions & Usage
Can I resell or redistribute the vocal files?
No — the raw vocal files and stems may not be resold, redistributed, sublicensed, gifted, transferred, or shared in any form.
The purchased files are licensed for use in your own music only, under the terms of the applicable license.
Can I use the vocals in sample packs, loop kits or templates?
No — the vocals may not be included in any sample pack, loop kit, vocal pack, template, preset pack, or similar product, whether free or paid.
The raw files may not be repackaged or redistributed in any standalone form.
Can I use these vocals with AI tools or for voice cloning?
No — all vocals on this site, including purchased, custom, and free vocals, may not be used for AI training, voice cloning, voice conversion, synthetic voice generation, or similar technologies without my explicit written permission.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- using my vocals to train AI or machine learning models
- creating voice clones, synthetic performances, or “soundalike” vocals
- isolating stems or vocal elements for use in AI voice tools
- generating new recordings intended to imitate or replicate my voice
Any unauthorised use of my vocals for AI or synthetic voice purposes is a breach of these terms and may result in takedown requests, legal action, and permanent revocation of your license.
These recordings represent my real voice, identity, and creative work — please respect their use.
Can I credit Carolina Padro on my release?
Public credit is not required.
If you would like to credit Carolina Padro in any public-facing way, please get in touch first for approval.
This does not affect accurate songwriting registration where required for publishing or rights collection purposes.
